Decent collar, not worth the price-tag

This was our first time buying these collars as they were recommended to us from one of our family members. We got 3 total, 2 XL and 1L for our three pups. All three have issues unlatching and just falling off the dogs. I'm not sure if that's how they were designed or if it's just a flaw. Besides that they work decent enough, I just think they are a bit expensive for what they are.

Finally found a great collar

We found these a few years back and sticking with this brand/product. Only issue is my dog likes to roll around the ground and that scratches the lovely finish on the metal.

Ok, but needs to be monitored during scratching.

The collar held up fine until our puppy started scratching, which his feet were able to disengage the latch that holds the collar together. Now I find it laying around the house or off with him chewing on it. It seems to be fine for a collar if you don't have intentions of keeping it on at all times.

Excellent collar!!!

We lare big fans of the Alpinhound Pet Co., and the wonderful customer service that Greg has provided us. This is our second collar purchase with him, and we love the range of designs and options he's created: not only does he offer new materials like BioThane and Cordura that other manufacturers don't, but Greg also selects the most interesting buckles as well, resulting in really cool looks for your pet. The collar we just purchased is made of BioThane, a nylon that has the feel of rubber or matt leather, and the buckle is beautiful and so easy to take on an off.
